Probation services for Hamilton County are provided through the Second Judicial Circuit. The Hamilton County Probation Officer is located at the Hamilton County Courthouse, in McLeansboro and handles local probation appointments and reporting.
The Chief Probation Officer and Court Services are located in Benton, at the Franklin County Probation Office.

What do I do if I need to reschedule an appointment?
Contact your assigned probation officer as soon as possible. Do not simply miss your scheduled appointment. Your officer will let you know if the appointment can be rescheduled.

Notify your assigned probation officer as soon as possible of any changes to your address, phone number, employment, or other contact information.
Who do I contact about court dates, fines, or court documents?
Questions regarding court dates, fines and court costs, payments, or copies of court documents should be directed to the Hamilton County Circuit Clerk’s Office.
What should I bring to my first probation appointment?
Bring a photo ID and any paperwork you received from the court or probation department. Your probation officer will let you know if any additional documents or information are needed.

Contact your assigned probation officer before making travel arrangements. Depending on your case and destination, prior approval or additional paperwork may be required.
