County roads and bridges, oversize/overweight load permits, and utility permits.
The County Highway Department maintains Hamilton County’s roads and bridges, and issues permits for oversized loads, overweight loads, and utility work in the county right-of-way. Permit forms and county road maps can be found under the “Forms & Documents” tab.
The Highway Department is located at 910 East Randolph Street in McLeansboro — not at the courthouse. All documents can be submitted via mail or in person during normal business hours.
